Apple is inviting student developers to showcase their skills in the 2024 Swift Student Challenge, with exciting prizes up for grabs. This annual competition, announced in November, provides a platform for young developers to demonstrate their coding prowess and innovation.
Participants stand a chance to win attractive rewards, including a one-year membership to the Apple Developer Program, a voucher for an App Development with Swift certification exam, and a special gift from Apple.
What’s new this year is the introduction of 50 Distinguished Winners, who will receive an exclusive three-day trip to Apple Park in Cupertino. These winners will be selected based on the excellence of their submissions, showcasing innovation, creativity, social impact, or inclusivity.
To be eligible, participants must be at least 13 years old, registered as an Apple developer or enrolled in the Apple Development Program, and affiliated with an accredited academic institution or STEM organization. They need to create an interactive scene using Swift Playgrounds 4.4 or Xcode 15, with the experience running locally and within a three-minute timeframe.
Entries for the Swift Student Challenge are open until February 25, offering students an exciting opportunity to showcase their talent and potentially win a memorable trip to Apple Park.
