Apple may soon launch a new MacBook Air. The company is rumored to launch a new 15-inch MacBook Air with the new M2 chip in spring 2023. Now, according to a new report, the company plans to launch three new Macs in late spring/summer this year.
Apple has also been encouraged to launch new iMacs that haven’t received a hardware upgrade in almost two years. According to leaked details, the new iMac models are codenamed J433 and J434. This means the new iMac model won’t ship until late 2023.

Gurman also revealed some details about his three upcoming Macs. One of them is his larger MacBook Air. The 15-inch MacBook Air, codenamed J515, will launch alongside his new 13-inch MacBook Air, codenamed J513.
The 15-inch MacBook Air is set to receive the new M2 chip, but the update for the new 13-inch MacBook Air remains unknown. Apple released the M2-powered 13-inch MacBook Air (review) last October, featuring a new design and improved hardware.

A new Mac Pro, codenamed J180, is also in the works. The upcoming 2023 MacBook Pro will be the first series to receive Apple’s in-house M-series silicon. Gurman claims the new Mac Pro will feature the Apple M2 Ultra SoC, which he plans to have 24 CPU cores and 76 GPU cores.
The report also revealed that the M3 chip could be unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 in June. The M3 chip is said to be Apple’s first silicon based on the 3nm process and is expected to offer significant performance and power efficiency gains.
Gurman has speculated about the upcoming 13-inch MacBook Air with his new M3 chip. “If Apple sticks to last year’s schedule, it would make sense to announce the M3 chip alongside the new MacBook Air at WWDC 2023.
