The OnePlus 12 is poised for its unveiling in December in China and is expected to hit global markets in January 2024. As we draw nearer to the rumored launch window, more leaks regarding the successor to the OnePlus 11 5G have begun to surface. Most recently, alleged CAD (computer-aided design) renders have emerged, offering a sneak peek at the potential design of the device. These renders hint at the presence of four circles within the camera module, as opposed to the previous three. Additionally, a new Hasselblad logo, simplified to just “H,” is observed beside the camera setup.
Renowned tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks), in collaboration with MySmartPrice, leaked these CAD renders of the upcoming OnePlus 12. They reveal a hole-punch display design with a curved screen. The addition of the fourth circle within the camera module may signify the incorporation of a new periscope or LiDAR sensor. Notably, OnePlus has repositioned the Hasselblad branding to the left side of the camera setup, departing from its placement between the camera rows.
These latest renders of the OnePlus 12 are said to be based on images of a pre-production unit as seen by the tipster. While they exhibit some variations from previous leaks, it appears that OnePlus is adhering to the design language of its preceding model, with only minor adjustments.
Official details about the OnePlus 12 are yet to be disclosed by the company. However, speculations indicate that it will make its debut in China in December and subsequently roll out to other markets in January the following year.
In recent weeks, several specifications of the OnePlus 12 have been leaked. It is anticipated to run on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 and sport a 6.7-inch fluid LTPO AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is expected to be the rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, coupled with either 16GB or 24GB of RAM.
On the camera front, the OnePlus 12 is rumored to feature a triple-camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens. For selfies, a 32-megapixel sensor is expected. The device might retain features such as an alert slider and an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. The OnePlus 12 is also rumored to house a 5,400mAh battery with support for fast 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
