Google is anticipated to unveil a more affordable variant of its flagship, the Google Pixel 8a. A tipster, Yogesh Brar, has shared insights into the expected pricing and key specifications of the Pixel 8a on X. According to Brar, the Pixel 8a is likely to sport a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.
The Pixel 8a is rumored to be powered by the Tensor G3 chipset. In terms of photography, expect a 64MP (OIS) + 13MP dual rear camera setup and a 13MP front camera for selfies.
Android 14 might be the operating system running on the Pixel 8a, accompanied by a 4,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. Brar suggested that the Pixel 8a could be priced between $500 to $550 (approximately ₹41,600 to ₹45,800).
Reports also hint at four color options for the Pixel 8a: Obsidian (Black), Porcelain (Beige), Bay (Light Blue), and Mint (Light Green). The rear panel is expected to feature a dual-camera setup arranged in a beam design, with the Google logo placed at the center.
Interestingly, Google accidentally confirmed the existence of the Pixel 8a while addressing the disappearance of a Pixel feature, further fueling anticipation for the upcoming device.
