Google is set to address design concerns with the upcoming Pixel Watch 3 by introducing two different sizes, according to an insider source. The criticism of the first- and second-generation Pixel Watches primarily centered around their small size.
While the Pixel Watch 2 brought key specification upgrades, its design, including a 41 mm diameter and 12.3 mm thickness, remained unchanged. The upcoming Pixel Watch 3 aims to cater to a broader audience by offering two sizes, acknowledging that preferences for wrist-worn devices vary.

The larger size not only allows for better specifications like a bigger battery and additional sensors but also enhances the overall user experience with a more significant display.
Google’s move aligns with industry trends, as competitors like Samsung and Apple also offer smartwatches in different size options. The Pixel Watch 3 is expected to maintain consistent functionality between the two sizes, focusing mainly on the screen size and, potentially, a slightly larger battery.
The recent reorganization of Fitbit and Google hardware is not anticipated to impact the product development trajectory, but plans could evolve before the official launch.
