Apple has rolled out the latest software updates, iOS 17.1.2 for iPhones and macOS Sonoma 14.1.2. The release notes highlight that both updates primarily focus on enhancing security.
The iOS 17.1.2 comes shortly after the release of iOS 17.1.1, which addressed wireless charging issues for BMW users and fixed a snow glitch. On the macOS side, Apple issued macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 to ensure compatibility with the new M3 MacBook Pros.
In addition to these security updates, Apple has been conducting public testing of a more extensive iOS 17 update with the iOS 17.2 beta. This upcoming release includes the introduction of Apple’s new Journal app for iPhones, collaborative playlists in Apple Music, new Clock and Weather widgets, and updates to Tapback in Messages.
