OnePlus Unveils OxygenOS 14

OnePlus recently unveiled OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2, building on the initial release of OxygenOS 14 beta for select models. This update is based on Android 14 and comes with a range of exciting features for supported OnePlus devices. The anticipated Android 14 is expected to roll out to eligible Google Pixel devices following the Made by Google event on October 4, coinciding with the launch of the Pixel 8 series of smartphones. Notably, the OnePlus 11 5G will be the first device to receive the stable version of OxygenOS 14, set to launch in November.

Key features of OxygenOS 14

1. Trinity Engine for Enhanced Performance:
OxygenOS 14 introduces the Trinity Engine, designed to optimize performance, multitasking, and prolonged usage. Utilizing CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, and ROM Vitalization, it efficiently allocates internal resources, leading to improved performance and extended battery life. OnePlus claims an additional 20 minutes of battery life on the OnePlus 11 running OxygenOS 14 compared to OxygenOS 13.

2. Enhanced Gaming Experience:
OxygenOS 14 brings HyperRendering, HyperTouch, and HyperBoost technologies to deliver a more immersive and fluid gaming experience. The updated HyperBoost includes AI machine learning, intelligent performance control, and graphics element layout approaches, addressing power consumption concerns while ensuring a consistent frame rate experience.

3. Advanced Security Features:
OxygenOS 14 focuses on security enhancements, featuring the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE)-based Device Security Engine 3.0. The Security Centre upgrades include a unified interface for easy control over device security and privacy settings. Additionally, Strong Box, driven by chip-level security encryption technology, ensures password protection against third-party usage through the embedded Secure Element (eSE) security chip.
