Realme’s flagship offering, the Realme GT 5 Pro, made its grand entry into the Chinese market last month, flaunting top-notch features such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a whopping 24GB of RAM, a stunning 4,500 nits peak brightness display, rapid 100W fast charging capabilities, and a cutting-edge 50MP Sony LYT-T808 sensor. While an official announcement regarding its launch in India is yet to be made, hints dropped by the company suggest an imminent arrival.
In a recent interaction on X, Realme’s Head of Product Marketing, Francis Wong, shed some light on the potential return of the Realme GT series to the Indian market this year. Responding to inquiries about the Realme GT 5 Pro’s availability in India, Wong hinted, “We know how eagerly anticipated the GT series is, and we will bring it back in 2024.”
Although the specific device was not explicitly mentioned, it is widely speculated to be the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone. However, no concrete timeline for its launch has been disclosed yet. The last GT series model introduced in India was the Realme GT Neo 3, with the brand shifting its focus to the Realme 11 Pro lineup. However, enthusiasts might soon be treated to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Realme GT 5 Pro in the Indian market.
Given that the Realme GT 5 Pro has already made its mark in China, consumers in India can expect a similar configuration. As for pricing, the base variant of the Realme GT 5 Pro starts at CNY 3,399 (approximately Rs 39,800) for the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Available in striking hues of Red Rock (orange), Starry Night (black), and Bright Moon (white), the orange and white variants feature a sleek leather finish on the back, while the black variant boasts a chic matte finish.
