From its initial developer beta release on December 12 to the third beta on January 9, watchOS 10.3 has taken a meticulous approach, focusing primarily on refining performance and addressing bugs.
Throughout the beta iterations, no significant new features were introduced, indicating that Apple’s primary goal is to bolster the underlying stability and performance of the system. In contrast, the watchOS 10.2 update, unveiled on December 11, brought noteworthy improvements, particularly in Siri integration and user interface enhancements. This update empowered Siri to access health data, allowing users to inquire about various health statistics using voice commands.
The inclusion of Siri access enhanced the convenience of retrieving information such as heart rate or exercise data, especially during workouts or scenarios where hands-free operation is preferable. Additionally, watchOS 10.2 reintroduced the swipe gesture for changing watch faces, offering users a user-friendly feature for swiftly switching styles or accessing different functionalities.
The watchOS 10.3 update, identifiable by build number 21S644, supersedes watchOS 10.2, with build number 21S364. This release underscores Apple’s commitment to continuously refining the Apple Watch experience for its users.
