Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, at a highly anticipated event in China on February 27th. This launch marks a significant milestone for the company as it introduces one of its most advanced smartphones to date, alongside the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric car.
Design and Display
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts a sleek dual-tone design with a circular camera module that carries the Leica branding. The phone features a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, offering an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. The display is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0, ensuring durability and clarity.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and storage options of 512GB and 1TB. The device runs on Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS interface. It is equipped with a 5,410mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Camera System
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s camera setup is one of its standout features. It includes a quad-camera system co-developed with Leica, featuring a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera with a Sony IMX858 sensor, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor. This setup offers up to 4.3x optical zoom and advanced low-light photography capabilities.
Additional Features
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is designed to be both stylish and functional, with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It also includes an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port. The phone supports two SIM cards and offers advanced connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Global Launch and Availability
Following its launch in China, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will make its global debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona on March 2nd. The phone is expected to be available in various markets, including India, where it is anticipated to be priced between Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 1,10,000.
